Farm 13/Stick Marsh Fishing

Farm 13/Stick Marsh is a reservoir also known as the St. Johns Water Management Area. The north half of the reservoir is the Stick Marsh, while the south half is Farm 13. The Farm 13 Stick Marsh is known for great Largemouth Bass fishing as well as Bluegill, Black Crappie, Shellcracker, and Catfish. The best time for bass fishing in the summer has proven to be in the early morning and evening hours. Try using live baits like gizzard shad and threadfin or lures including crankbaits, plastic worms, and swimbaits for successful bass fishing. Black Crappie in the Farm 13/Stick Marsh like to hide around deep water structure or along dropoffs of drainage ditches. There are many fish attractors located throughout the Farm 13 Stick Marsh that are a good place to check for Black Crappie. Boaters are advised to use extreme caution on the Farm 13/Stick Marsh as there are many hazards including shallow depths, wild orange trees, palm trees, bushes, and submerged and floating timber. The average depth of the Farm 13 Stick Marsh is 6 feet.
