Naples is located on the Gulf of Mexico in southwest Florida and is known for outstanding sport fishing. Naples features world class fishing for both offshore deep sea fishing trips and inshore backwater fishing. You can go deep sea fishing over reefs and wrecks for species including; Barracuda, Shark, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Redfish, Black Drum, Permit, and more. There is also great backwaters fishing in the Naples area along the inter-coastal waterways and mangroves. On these fishing trips you can catch species including; Trout, Snook, Redfish, Pompano, Bluefish, Ladyfish, Amberjacks, Sheepshead, Black Drum, and more. Tarpon, Snook, and Redfish are three of the most popular sport fish in the Naples area. Tarpon fishing is typically best from March-June in the shallow bays and flats and can range from 70-100 lbs. Snook are a great catch in Naples year round and can be caught in the many mangrove shorelines. Redfish fishing is best in September and October in Naples and can be caught in the shallow grass flats and along the mangrove shorelines.
